Legal
Terms & Conditions
The agreement between you and Mintance for use of the service. The privacy policy sits alongside it and forms part of these terms.
1. The service
Mintance (https://mintance.com) is a product analytics service. It receives events you send from your own products, stores them, and gives you tools to analyze them — funnels, retention, segments, dashboards and exports. We provide the service as it exists at any given moment; features may be added, changed or withdrawn while we are in early access.
2. Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done by teammates you invite and by systems using your API keys. Keep your credentials secret, rotate a key you think is exposed, and tell us at hello@mintance.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must be at least 16 years old and give accurate registration details.
3. Early access and fees
The service is currently free. There are no fees, no card on file and no minimum commitment while we are in early access.
When paid plans launch we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any charge. You can decline, export your data and close your account with nothing owed. The pricing page shows where pricing is heading; those figures are the plan, not a bill.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Mintance to:
- collect data you have no lawful basis or consent to collect;
- send special-category personal data — health, biometrics, precise location tied to an identity — or payment card numbers;
- break the law, infringe someone's rights, or track people covertly outside your own products;
- probe, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or resell it as your own analytics product.
We may suspend an account that puts the service or other customers at risk. Where we can, we will warn you first.
5. Your data
The events and customer data you send stay yours. You grant us only the permission needed to host, process and display that data back to you, and to keep the service running and secure. We do not sell it, share it with advertising networks, or use it to train models. Where your data includes personal data, you are the controller and we are your processor — we act on your instructions, and obtaining consent from your visitors is your responsibility. How we handle it is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
6. Availability
We aim high on uptime and publish status openly, but early access carries no service-level guarantee. Maintenance, experiments and outages are possible; we will tell you about planned interruptions in advance where we can.
7. Our intellectual property
The Mintance software, SDKs, design, name and logo belong to us. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them to operate your own analytics while this agreement lasts. Feedback you send us is a gift with no strings — we can use it freely to improve the product.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time: export your data and delete your projects from within the app, or ask us to do it. Deletion is permanent.
We may end the agreement with 30 days' notice, or immediately for a serious breach of clause 4. If we ever discontinue the service entirely, you will get at least 90 days' notice and a full export of your raw events.
9. Liability
During early access the service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, and you should not rely on it as your only record of business-critical data. Keep your own backups of anything that matters.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data, and our total liability is capped at the greater of the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months or $100. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
10. Changes and governing law
We will update these terms as the product changes. For material changes we email account owners at least 30 days beforehand; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version. Every version carries the date it took effect. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States. Questions, a security concern or a legal notice: hello@mintance.com.
